So strange, for such a backwards-looking film to have such a forward-looking idea played so well. Home is where the terror is in these unsettling explorations of one of our most primal fears: an unwanted intrusion into the sanctity of ones own home. I find it fantastically refreshing the way that was played out. As an aside, it is noteworthy and actually genuinely admirable the gender neutrality/equality of the film in terms of the portrayal of the characters within the film. Again, though, this is a success going by the premise of the existence of the film. Starring Kurt Russell, J.T Walsh and Kathleen Quinlan the plot focuses on a married couple relocating from Boston to San Diego when they are targeted by a group with evil intentions. As a pro-military piece it eschews nearly all sensitivity and can be gruesome and disturbing in the thoughtless violence. Director/Cast/Premise Breakdown is the 1997 thriller co written and directed by Jonathan Mostow. It was reasonably enjoyable but its limits as a film are directly proportional to its success in what it aims to do.

If he can survive a full day and night, Vargas gets 50,000. Willing to do anything to raise money and avoid severe injury or death, Vargas agrees to a very unusual job - he will be transported to a remote island and hunted by Gustav Shank, a racist German executive. However, although that makes the film clever, it does not mean I overly enjoy or connect to sitting through such propaganda pieces. Fast-talking Latino con artist Pestario 'Pest' Vargas is the target of Scottish mobsters to whom he owes a considerable debt. On this level of old-style, unsubtle propaganda, I suppose it is successful. This one is about an unlikely invasion of a 'rock' that triggers a virus already in our bodies, placed there by an earlier invasion.

He is a Medical Doctor, so he has the right background for his stories.

Likely with the intent of recruiting new troopers. Invasion, a nice Sci-Fi movie based on Robin Cook's Novel of the same name. A military, Nazi-esque propaganda film, as if from within the deranged universe that the film takes place in.
